69-71: Crowan Primary School
Commissioned at the age of 9 to design and oversee a team of painters to create a world map (with imagery for each country) on the school playground (to trial test a new, outdoor floor paint).
71 -74: Praze & Beeble Village Fair
Won 1st prize in the painting section (3 years in a row).
83-84: Falmouth School of Art
One year foundation course (a great experience).
85-87: Cardiff of Art College
2 year B-Tec design course (a waste of time).
88-06: London – Design and acting
Initially working for graphic design studios and then for seven years running my own design company swandesign.co.uk. I took up acting for two in years in between which was fun. I acted in a couple of stage plays and made a couple of short films.
07-14: Cornwall – Design and retail
Created a design based retail company called Raw Cornish.
