The origin of PZ.22 CREATE: Penzance Festival of Art
In 2019 my wife/fellow artist Winnie Lyn and I organised a steering committee to oversee the formation of
PZ21 CREATE: Penzance Festival of Art, the first ever arts festival in the town.
Penzance Arts Trail
A core element of the festival is the Arts Trail which reaches out not just to local people but businesses as well, encouraging connectivity and co-operation between artists, businesses and the public through the medium of art.
Cafes, restaurants and shops are encourages to liaise with local arts groups such as Penzance Studios and host mini art exhibitions by local artists as part of the art trail. The general public are also invited to submit digital photographs of their art which are curated into a show reel and displayed on monitors installed in other venues on the art trail.

Community involvement
Over 1,000 local artists and creative organisations take part staging exhibitions, workshops, pop up galleries, talks and lectures. The festival is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the art and beauty of this historic coastal town.
